For their intranet the Institute for Nuclear Security wanted to implement a semantic search engine allowing to federate search in contents coming from four different sources (Intranet, Internet, e-mails, office servers).

As the tool has quite powerful and complex search functionalities, K+A worked together with the client and the implementing company to present the different search options and the results in a structured and understandable way.

The advanced and complementary search options are presented in boxes that can be opened or closed, depending on the user’s need.
The search results from the different sources can either be viewed in a merged list or in seperate lists by source. A colour coding system helps quickly identify the source of each item.
