FRAME (French Regional & American Museums Exchange), is a unique bilateral organization of 24 museums in France and the United States.
Kahn + Associates was hired by FRAME to create a new web site presenting the member museums with their over 200 collections containing several thousand paintings, sculptures and remarkable objects from all periods, from pre-history to contemporary art.
We designed various “entry points” to browse the works of art of the various museums: by period, techniques, topics, exhibitions, new acquisitions. Contextual links connect the works of art amongst each other (based on the collection, exhibitions or topics they are related to) and multiply the possible paths within the site to enrich the user experience.
I was involved in building the Information Architecture and I was responsible for the visual design.
