For an internal records management project, Schlumberger needed a project logo and mascot to communicate to internal stakeholders and employees. They wanted a friendly positive figure that represented the core ideas of the records management project: taking care, preserving over time and helping to find company records.
The turtle was one of three character ideas that were presented to the client. They liked the idea of the turtle, known as a long living animal, that is taking care of the records over time, filing them in its own carapace.
It is at the the same time the storage place and the friendly service person that helps employees find what they are looking for.
For internal communication and training material, I created several variations of the turtle, that illustrate different concepts and aspects of the records management process.
